Joe DeLapp is a Vistage Chair in the Atlanta metro area, leading a peer advisory group for CEOs and business owners. He brings a 35-year operating career to the room, including 18 years in the CEO seat at two companies — a medical equipment turnaround that carried earnings from −55% to +10% of net sales in three years while moving the business from fourth to first in market share, and eight years leading Visioneering Technologies, an optometry startup where he raised $12M in institutional and angel funding at the depth of the 2008 crash, a round later named Georgia Bio’s Deal of the Year. Before running companies he led marketing and sales organizations at Ciba Vision, Johnson & Johnson, and Procter & Gamble. He holds a BA from Hillsdale College and an MBA in marketing and finance from Indiana University.
